Its been wonderful spending the holiday in France. Christmas is very low key here and not commercialized at all. Some people hang wreaths and lights and I have seen a few Christmas trees, but theres not a whole lot of celebrating going on, from what I can see. Though, I love all the sparkle and flash, its been nice to be able to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and giving my family love and joy instead of presents. Being here with my favorite people is the best present EVER!
The flat were we are staying has some construction going on and something happened to our internet, so we have been getting pretty scarce internet service. Our flats telephone and TV no longer work as well. I was looking forward to calling my besties on christmas... so if your'e reading this, I love you and Merry Christmas!
On Monday, I went out for a walking with my mom and Danilee. Camille and Gabrielle insist on sleeping in. Like, get up. Your'e in Paris.
I have always dreamed of walking on a true cobblestone street.
This alley is right around the corner from our flat. Its called the medieval street, because its really from that time period...probably. I can't help but sing On My Own from Les Mis every time we walk through it. Its so magical and there's a shop called Jacqueline on it so basically I'm famous.
Camille from looking tres Parisian from our flats window.
Once everyone was ready we headed to The Louvre, which is only a 10 minute walk. Our flat is so close to all the touristy things. So convenient. The Louvre is HUGE. Bigger than I could have imaged. I think the building used to be a Palace of some sort.

Classic tourist pics

Statue at the entrance of The Louvre. It looks like it is covered with a sheet, and the statue is underneath. I think that pure genius.
Marie Antoinette
Mona Lisa
So, it kind of gets... boring looking at so much art, after an hour or two.
Because we are who we are, we did stuff like this.
(Taking selfies)
Camilles nudes got leaked. uh oh.
My favorite part of The Louvre was Napoleon's apartment. It's so decadent. We kept saying Donnell would love it here! There were beautiful chandeliers in every room. Luxury.
Walking back to our flat
After, we went to dinner at Chez Ferdenand, a teeny tiny little restaurant by the medieval street. We had the greatest waiter named Antoine, with the greatest French accent. Swoon. I got Onion soup, a green bean salad and ratatouille. It all was all very French tasting.
xx Jacqueline
