Woke early to head off to see more museums, but stop by the love lock bridge along our way. For Christmas my Mom gave my Dad a lock for the bridge. It is so beautiful to see symbols of love all over the city of love.
After, we walked to the Musee D'Orsay, which is a transformed train station. It reminded me of the movie Hugo which was set in a French train station. They don't allow photos inside but I snuck a few.
We saw Monet and Van Gogh. Monet's painting were the most exquisite and graceful paintings I have ever had the pleasure to view. Here are some of my favorites that I saw
I also loved work by Edgar Degas, Edward, Manet and Alfred Sisley. We ate lunch at the cafe inside the museum, next to a giant clock looking down onto a beautiful veiw of Paris. Next, we walked to the Orangerie and saw the giant panels Monet painted of the water lilies, and took a lot of pictures outside.
When we were done with our photo shoot, we got a cab and drove up to Le Sacre Coeur. As we drove past we saw the Moulin Rouge and Opera house. The city is huge! Every time I think I understand the city we drive to a new part and discover so much more. Its amazing how many interesting things and places are here.
We went inside Le Sacre Coeur, but they didn't allow photos either. I snuck one thought.... hopefully its not a sin.
We lit another candle for Don. #teamdon We love you Donny! The Sacre Coeur was over packed with people so we left pretty quickly and walked around the little town. We got some pick me ups at a Starbucks, met some great Itailan/Greek people, looked in shops and enjoyed the sunsent.
I love spotting the Eiffel Tower far.
