Surprise.... I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me. Let's catch up on the last few weeks.
Our beautiful Hotel in Versailles
I miss it there so much! I want to walk around the gardens and feel fancy.
I love that moss grows on everything here.
Our hotel was this close to the gate to Versailles. Danielle got food poisoning and Gabrielle was lazy so Camille and I went on an adventure to go find our mom in the gardens. Right when we walked through the gate she was walking towards us, so we went into town to see tour the beautiful little town.
The spiral staircase in our hotel. We walked up it to our room on the fifth floor...once. Never again.
Victoria and Albert Museam
Vintage Christian Dior. I. Die.
Vintage Chanel
We "tried" on tiaras. Hot messes.
Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We wished that we were with Thompson boys. They would have loved it. It has so many cute rides and treat stands.
Walking by Buckingham Palace... Not as luxury as Versailles.
Big Ben and Westminster Abbey
Even the lamps have little crowns.
River Thames
Tower Bridge. NOT London Bridge. Apparently, London Bridge was sold to a Gazillionaire from Arizona and moved brick by brick there, and rebuilt. I was quite annoyed because you cant really sing Fergies London Bridge song now. Rude.
I love my dad. He is so chill.
St. Pauls Cathedral
Piccadilly Circus
Selfridges and Co.
The ultimate barbie store.
The Wallace Museum
View from our hotel.
Harrods
We ate at the Disney Cafe because duh. We were surrounded by little kids and their parents, but we didn't even care because it was so cute and felt like a piece of home.
We had to say goodbye to our family that night and head off on our own to a gross little dorm at the University of London. We were told we could check into our flat in Kensington on the 4th, but then they changed it to the 7th. So for a few days Camille and I stayed in a dorm in Clerknwell. It wasn't all that bad, but I am very happy to be moved into our cute flat, right across from Hyde Park.
Camille and I went to go see Wicked. IT WAS AMAZING and Camille looks like Alphaba... however she spells it. *toss toss*
Beautiful sunset while walking to Institute on Thursday
Gabe is my favorite. He is fashionable, witty and so fun to be around.
London Tower tour from Friday
King Henry the IV ( I think) had a zoo! He had bears and lions and monkeys OH MY!
Taylor with a random Hilter bust.
The Crown Jewels were in this building, but pictures were not allowed inside. I saw all the crowns and jewels and died over a 500 + carat diamond that is in a scepter.
There are people who actually live in the London Tower, like the mayor and other important people and have a guard posted outside their door at all time. The mayors house is also the most haunted house in the tower. Woman are not allowed to stay there alone, because of frequent attacks and hauntings.
There is a myth in the tower of London that if the crows leave the grounds, the tower will fall. So they have clipped the crows wings and feed them well so they will want and have to stay. They are as big as Dooney!
"Graffiti" from the prison
They have people dressed up and acting as if they were from the time of King Henry V.
Our group for the tour. Taylor, Ali and gabe
Hyde Park
Camille, Gabe and I were assigned to go to a ward out in Kennington which took us about an hour and a half to get there. On our walk to the church we saw a sign about a murder that happened in the town. Awesome. Then, when we finally got to the church it was in Spanish. Seriously. So we took the sacrament and left. Apparently, they gave us the wrong information and now they want us to go to a 9 am ward out there. That means I would have to be out the door at 7:30... when there is a church building 5 mins away from our flat. IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE. I'm not about it. So, imma go to the YSA ward at 1 in the building by my house. End of story. Also, I made Camel and me Sunday Dinner. It was pretty darn good.
Obviously
So, now I am caught up on everything and feel a lot better about my life. Classes are easy but they are pounding us with homework. Don't they know that I am here to eat and look at English boys?! BYEEEE
xx Jac
